FHA Loan Information
The Federal Housing Administraton (FHA) provides low-interest loans, credit assistance and expert advice.
The FHA mortgage loan limit is $275,665
for the Tucson area (Pima County). This amount is valid through calendar year 2017.
The required down payment remains at 3.5% which is lower than what is required for conventional loans, which
typically require a 20% downpayment.
As a general guideline, your monthly home payment should not exceed 28% of your income.
How Do I Qualify?
To qualify for an FHA loan, you will need to contact your bank or lender and ask about their FHA loan program.
Most likely they will need the following information.
- Your credit report
- W2 Forms
- Pay stubs
- Most recent Federal Tax return
- 2 months of bank and investment statements
